Tennyson Point Residence — Architectural Rendering for Made by Alas
Now standing in Sydney
Seven renders of a house stepping down a harbourside slope on the Parramatta River, made for Sydney design studio Made by Alas while the project was still drawings. The house was subsequently built — the studio publishes photographs of the finished home in its own portfolio.

Made by Alas is a boutique Sydney studio, and Tennyson Point is one of their residential projects — a house stepping down a slope towards the Parramatta River. We were commissioned to visualise it while it was still drawings, for a live project with a client already attached rather than as a speculative portfolio piece. The delivered set runs to seven renders.
Rendering a house against its own site
A harbourside slope is unforgiving. The building reads as real only if the ground falls away at the right rate, the water sits at the right distance, and the light behaves the way Sydney light actually behaves at that orientation. Much of the work on an exterior like this is not the building itself — it is placing the building somewhere believable, because that is what the eye checks first.
It got built
Tennyson Point is finished, and Made by Alas publish photographs of the completed house in their own portfolio. That is the strongest test an architectural render can face: set the visualisation next to the built result and see whether the promise held.
